How Can I Get Noticed?

What’s the best way for me to get recognized singing as I would like to take it further and want someone to hear me.

Many thanks,

Chantonie

The principle of getting noticed is kind of simple. If you want to get noticed, get in front of as many people as possible, and hopefully get in front of the right people.  Now, this is an over simplification, but it’s a good principle to live by.

Truth is, no two singers paths are the same. There’s no roadmap to success, especially in this field. So, making it your passion to get your music out there is key. Where should you start? That all depends.

If you’re looking to do musical theatre, do workshops, audition and work in shows, and offer to help out around theaters. If you’re more of a popular music type of person, start getting your music out there. Use mediums like youtube, social media, and play out as much as possible (even for free for a bit until you have enough of a following that people come to your shows). Then, searching for management or a label could be a good idea (but get fans first, otherwise you’re spinning your own wheels). You don’t have to be perfect, but learn from each everything that you do.

Finally, if you don’t know what direction you want to take, make a decision and start working in that direction for a while. What you’ll learn will be valuable regardless as to whether that’s the direction you continue to go or not.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Ken
